Only one game this week, though we should have been playing Fleetwood on Tuesday; due to snow, ice and sub-zero temperatures, this game has been put back to Thursday 25 of March, meaning we will now play Hyde at home, Telford and Hyde away, Fleetwood and Alfreton at home and finish it off with a trip to Droylsden within a two week period. Quite a calendar....
It has been a mixed week for Jim Harvey’s Celtic. On Tuesday, Farsley were gifted three points by a stuttering Celtic who still managed to enjoy the majority of the possession and chances. It was another week without football for Stalybridge Celtic and they now face catching up on a backlog of fixtures later in the season. It has been a frustrating festive period for Celtic. We should have played Hyde twice and Southport. We kind of played Southport, however after a game that saw Southport have two close efforts in the first half, and Celtic two in the second half, the game could have gone either way, but looked, as Southport tired, like it might just swing Celtic’s way, when the lights...
